Feb appointment cancelled :(

Monday 21st December 2015

Got a letter over the weekend saying my February appointment had been cancelled. They haven’t said why but I gave them a ring today to see if I could re-book as didn’t want to lose my spot as liked the fact I’d got appointments booked for 3 months and the Feb appointment was to discuss my moulds etc so for me, it was quite an important appointment. The receptionist said they would contact me with a new
appointment so I just mentioned that I’d got regular appointments and all i got from her was to book at my January appointment if not heard anything beforehand. I can’t be too mad coz I haven’t had any cancellations for ages but I bet I won’t be able to get a Feb appointment and it will be the march
appointment before I find out any more.

I am one month short of having braces on for a year. At my one year anniversary 🙂 I will put comparison photos on but thought I would just quickly post another recent pic of me as I only have one tiny gap left to fill.

As mentioned on my last post, I was in the dentist waiting room the other day and there was a sign which surprised me. I forgot to attach it on the last post but it was a sign saying one bracket (ceramic ones) costs £50 with one free replacement, so for me it would cost me £1800 plus the million breakages I had at the beginning. Not sure if any broke more than once though so not sure if I would have been okay. Either way, it hit home how much everything will have cost me if id have gone private. I’m now intrigued as to how much surgery would have cost…..so lucky we have the NHS.

Anyway that is all I think. My next appointment is one day before my year anniversary so will post more pics then 🙂

 

 

 

 

Emergency Appointment….again

Not had to go to the dentist for an emergency appointment for a while but over the weekend my wires at the back started to dig in and by Monday, it was getting very uncomfortable so I decided to phone in and ask if I could nip in today to get it chopped off. Feels so much better already – just got to get the 1 million ulcers to disappear now. My next appointment isn’t until 18th January so couldn’t wait and didn’t want it to spoil my Christmas dinner. 🙂
