SURGERY CANCELLED!!

Published September 14, 2016 by k3bab87

Wednesday 14th September

Just received the dreaded phone call. Surgery has been cancelled!!!

I was kind of expecting it after my last visit to the surgeon so wasn’t upset or surprised.

The lady said we’re rearranging your appointment with Mr Smith because you know your surgery’s been cancelled don’t you? I said Not that I know of! She literally just said I’ll ring you back.

Minutes later a bloke rang back and said Mr Smith was away and it was because the plans would not be ready in time. I was very calm and explained what had happened last week. He said he would see if he could get it for a week later. I said great but I don’t want it cancelling again because the plans are not ready etc and go through this again.  He said he would ring back again.

True to his word,  he rang back and explained that Mr Smith normally does the plans but my ortho wanted to do them this time. He then said that my ortho doesn’t know how to do them on the computer so they were going to sit down this Friday together. (He should have just done them himself – I could throttle my ortho right now!)

They need to be sent to the labs  (for whatever reason) hence the delay so that’s why I am now seeing him on 27th (with plans done hopefully) and then surgery the week after – 3rd October.

I can live with a weeks delay but it’s just frustrating!

  • I’ll be having double jaw surgery on November 30th, so I totally understand what you’re going through! Holy crap, I would be SO mad at my ortho/surgeon 😦 Sorry to hear your surgery is delayed. I hope everything will be settled and triple-quadruple checked for the new surgery date! Hang in there 🙂
